Serious question. How will these invasion of privacy phones affect my daily life if I don't do anything with my phone? I'm all for privacy but being one needle in a billion of heystacks aren't really what I call being surveilled. It's for marketing purposes and the common good y'all. Corporatism FTW, right? 🥸 All this de-googling of phones are just for you paranoid americans. 🤓 Dont get me wrong I would deguggle my phone if I could and if it was possible with this one.

Lucky me I haven't had a phone in years. Nothing for them to SEE. Sure, no phone can be a PITA, but it sure does thwart a lot of people, businesses, and governments. FYI when you list an emergency number for a doctor's office, they can and WILL abuse that. And that information also goes into the national medical database too. So, if you are on some kind of hit list, so will those on your emergency phone number. If you are late on a payment, that number will be abused by the business or a collection agency. Up to and including bounty hunters.

You are living in the wrong country if you think you are going to be invisible in the United States. Ever been in a bank or used an ATM? You have a file in the federal facial recognition system. Don't think Uncle Sam knows about your crypto and nft accounts or they don't have the power to completely dismantle those chains with the push of a button? How about out of the country relationships that are a threat to US interest ? You really think for one second the big three can't see your comings and goings....smoke another one.

I don't have a cellphone, and I don't send or receive emails from friends or business associates as I don't have many and I'm retired. So cellphone calls, text, and emails won't tell much about me.

I don't know how is goes in US, but in Germany a customer has to present his personnal ID (Personalausweis) to the bank in order to sign a contract with the bank and verify his home address. The 2FA app for smartphones from this bank requires an ACTIVATION CODE, which reaches the customer always and only by letter to the address presented by his personnal ID. This activation code enables the online registration of the combination of your phone, its SIM card and the 2FA app of that smartphone in the database of that bank. Such an (different) ACTIVATION CODE from the bank is also required and provided by the bank for internet access to the customers bank account for online banking. Even the ISP is verifying the personnal address by sending the contract & SIM card to the customer, who signs the contract and send it back combined with an authentication procedure at the local post office (PostIdent), where the local post office worker verifies the personnal ID of the customer. That local post office sends afterwards the result of this verification of the personnel ID to the ISP. That's the procedure by which the ISP assures that the customer's home address is verified as the real legal customers address. Afterwards this ISP sends another ACTVIVATION CODE for the online registration of the SIM card always and only by letter to the customer's verified home address, which in turn activates that SIM card for that ISP mobile network. So in case of sending later on another SIM card to the customer it requires the ISP contract number and the new SIM card will always and only be send by letter to the verified home address of that customer. Later on the ISP send new ACTIVATION CODE for that new SIM card. After the successful online registration of that new SIM card the old SIM card is inactivated immediately. The customer cannot access the internet anymore with his old SIM card. This would alarm the customer very quickly, because now a days customers are nearly 24/7 online with their smartphones. I think these are quite secure procedures executed by banks & ISPs in Germany making 2FA secure. Thefts have to betrayal not only the ISP but also the bank. That is nearly impossible (for my believe). I hope its the same in other countries around the globe.

There are lots of phone users who never turn off their wifi, Bluetooth, location, sensors & etc. due to not being savvy despite these can still be turned off. We should really start being aware of these otherwise we can lose our privacy.

I have a S24 Ultra & could care less because I'm not doing anything illegal or "Out of the Norm". Basically I want all the top features in my phone. "Normy Phones" track you while they are off. I hear any phone that takes a SIM Card contains so much information on you.

I tracked my employees phones 30 years ago with dumb phones and found one in the gym when she said she was at a plant 20 miles away. Three cell towers geolocate in real-time by providers. All phones are tracked 100% of tge time.

I know where you stand on this Rob, but Hide my Email seems like a good solution to the multiple email dilemma. Yes, I know apple also spies on you but apple is probably the best weapon to use against other tech giants. Then all you have to do is figure out how you deal with apple. Also, this would not rule out a second de-googled phone for calls and more important stuff.

My friend, the best phone for not being tracked is no phone( as in not to carry one). Even with a dumb phone they can track you by triangulation.

I use to use VM's use to make a lot of them, however, they are not advantageous when the cost of a used entry level workstation, is so low, one can actually have a real home network, and a cheap Windows 11 machine used only for the internet. No working machine should ever be hooked up to the Internet. Now, people whose computer is for playing, and they are too stupid to know that a binary machine cannot be protected from a binary attack, well, they have to learn the hard way. You want a safe computer, do not plug it into the internet.

Well …. You remember the *Wannacry ransomware* I suppose ,right ? After the attack I clearly remember Bitdefender advertising that their security was able to stop Wannacry attack from day-1. He forgot about license plate readers. It’s also trivial to track where your vehicle is at all times. These cameras also share the data with law enforcement via AWS and can be setup to do mass alerting when a plate is spotted.
